Frequently asked questions
Is BARVEA compliant with ISO 19650?
Yes. The entire CDE workflow is built on S0–S6 statuses, controlled revisions and the metadata required by ISO 19650. Every change is recorded in the audit log with a full approval history.
Which BIM formats do you support?
We work in the openBIM model: import and display of IFC2x3 and IFC4, issues in BCF 2.1 format and full COBie import/export. In addition, the Autodesk Revit plugin provides two-way synchronization.
Where is data stored and for how long?
Data is hosted in data centers within the European Union. We guarantee a minimum of 5 years of retention for project data and the change log; the Enterprise plan offers dedicated hosting and custom retention policies.
Do I need to install software on workstations?
No. BARVEA runs entirely in the browser — the 3D model viewer, CDE and CMMS require no installation. The only optional desktop component is the Revit plugin for design teams.
What does deployment look like and can I test the platform?
